GAME PORTAL LAUNCHER
PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: 8 October 2026
Game Portal Launcher ("the app") is a game launcher for Android, published by ArahLabs on Google Play. This policy covers the version of the app distributed through Google Play. It explains what the app stores, what it sends over the internet, why, and the rights you have. It is published at https://gameportal.arahlabs.com/privacy-policy, and the app opens it from Settings › System › Privacy Policy.
In short: ArahLabs does not collect your data. Your library, your games, your files, your settings and everything else you do in the app stay on your device, and we never receive them. The only thing the app sends over the internet is a license check that confirms your copy came from Google Play. It contains no name, email address or account, and the only trace it leaves on our server is a short technical log that deletes itself within 30 days. The app has no accounts, ads, analytics, tracking or third-party advertising SDKs, and it never sells or shares data.
1. Who we are
Game Portal Launcher is made by ArahLabs, Indonesia. For privacy questions or any request under section 8, contact support@arahlabs.com.
2. Data stored only on your device
The app keeps the following on your device so it can work. It is never sent to ArahLabs or anyone else.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Your library: favorites, categories, the hidden list, game/app classification, sort order | To organize and show your games |
| Game folders you add, and the games found in them (file names, titles, the icon each game file carries, your choice of emulator) | To show emulated games in your library and open them |
| Settings (layout, theme, controls, language, etc.) | To remember your choices |
| Game artwork you choose (a downscaled copy of each image you pick for a game) | To show it behind that game on Home |
| Launch history (which game the launcher opened, and when; up to 1,000 entries) | To sort games by "Recent". It does not record play time. |
The app reads the list of installed apps through Android (LauncherApps, limited to apps that have a launcher icon) to show them, together with the banner a game may include for TV and large screens (android:banner). That list and those banners are processed on the device and are not uploaded. The app does not download game artwork from the internet; games show the artwork you choose, the banner the game includes, or its icon.
Buttons that open Google Play (to get an emulator, browse games or update the app) hand the link to the Google Play Store app; the launcher itself sends nothing.
3. Data sent over the internet, and the legal basis
The license check below is the only data that leaves your device.
| Feature | What is sent | To whom | Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| License check (always on) | A Google Play Integrity token, the app's own package name and version, a one-time challenge, and a random installation ID created by the app | Google (Play Integrity) and the developer's license server | Confirm the copy was obtained from Google Play and prevent fraud | Performing the purchase contract, and the developer's legitimate interest in preventing fraud (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f); UU PDP Art. 20(2)(b) and (f)) |
- The installation ID is a random number created when the app first runs. It is not your Android ID, advertising ID or any hardware identifier, and it is deleted when you clear the app's storage or uninstall the app.
- No list of your apps or games, and nothing from your library, is sent.
- As with any internet request, these services can see your device's IP address.
- All requests use encrypted connections (HTTPS).
- Google processes Play Integrity data under the Google Privacy Policy.
- The license check cannot be turned off; it is how the paid app verifies your purchase.
- The only automated decision is the license check: a verified "not licensed" result from Google Play shows a screen asking you to get the app from Google Play instead of your library, until the purchase is confirmed (backup, Home app choice and system settings stay available there). If the check cannot be completed, for example when you are offline, the app stays usable. You can ask for this decision to be reviewed by a person (section 8). No data is used for profiling.
4. International transfers
The license server runs on cloud infrastructure that may be located outside your country, and Google processes Play Integrity data on its own global infrastructure. Where data is transferred across borders, the developer uses providers that offer the safeguards required by applicable law (for example, EU standard contractual clauses, and the transfer conditions of UU PDP Art. 56).
5. Retention
| Data | How long |
|---|---|
| On-device data (section 2) | Until you delete it. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored on the device. |
| License challenges on the server | Expire after 5 minutes |
| Server request logs (IP address, installation ID, app version) | Deleted automatically within 30 days |
| Backups you create | Wherever you saved them, until you delete them |
ArahLabs keeps no other data about you. The license server cannot link these records to your name, email address or Google account.
6. Backups you create
Settings › Library › Backup and restore can save your setup to a backup file. The file is not encrypted and can reveal installed game names and package names, favorites, categories, hidden apps and game folder names and, if you choose to include pictures, your game artwork, emulated games' icons and emulator choices. It is saved only where you choose (which may be a cloud folder managed by that provider). License data, the installation ID and the launch history are never included. Android's automatic cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are turned off for this app.
7. Hidden apps
Hiding an app only removes it from the launcher's lists. It is not a security or privacy protection for the app or its data.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (Undang-Undang No. 27 Tahun 2022 tentang Pelindungan Data Pribadi, "UU PDP"), you have the right to:
- access the personal data held about you, and receive a copy in a portable format;
- correct it, or have it deleted;
- restrict or object to its processing, including processing based on legitimate interest;
- withdraw any consent you gave, at any time;
- complain to a data protection authority: in the EU, the authority of your country; in Indonesia, the authority that supervises UU PDP.
To make a request, email the address in section 1. In practice, ArahLabs holds no data that identifies you:
- Everything in section 2 is on your device, not with us. You can view, change or delete it yourself in the app, or delete all of it by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.
- The only data on our server is the short license-check log in section 5. It contains no name, email address or account, so we usually cannot tell which records are yours (GDPR Art. 11), and it deletes itself within 30 days anyway.
We will reply to your request as quickly as the law where you live requires.
9. Permissions
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Internet | The license check only (section 3) |
| Hidden profiles (Android 15+) | Lets Android's private space work correctly when the app is your Home app. Private-space apps are never stored, searched or exported. |
| Files you pick | Only the single file you choose for a backup or restore, the photo you choose as a game's artwork (through Android's photo picker, which shares only that photo), or a game folder you add (read access to that folder only, which you can remove in Settings › Library › Game folders). No broad storage access. When you play an emulated game, the emulator app you chose is given read access to that game's folder while it runs (so games made of several files open), and nothing else. |
The app does not use location, contacts, camera, microphone, accessibility services or overlays.
10. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
11. Changes
This policy may be updated with new versions of the app. The "Last updated" date above shows the current version. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes, and if a change needs your consent, the app will ask for it before it applies.
